Well, here we are in week 28. Stacy and the baby are doing well, although Stacy is starting to really feel the physical limitations you would expect in the third trimester. Her back is starting to hurt quite a bit and can make for some uncomfortable nights of sleep and sitting around the desk. Besides that, she is in good spirits and is healthy as can be.
The baby is getting more and more active as the days go by. The other day I decided to ask the baby if it was a boy or a girl. I said, "kick me once if you are a boy." Next thing I know, I felt a foot to my face! Trying to be tricky and knowing that the baby only kicks once at a time, I jokingly asked the baby, "kick me twice if you are a girl." Of course you know where this is going, the baby quickly responds with two hard jabs to my cheek?! The question remains.....
Stacy, Bella and I went camping this weekend up in Poudre Canyon near Ft. Collins. It was a great time for all. Stacy did require that we purchase an air mattress instead of using the thin thermarests. We slept like royalty (except for the dog, she is content with anything). Stacy did bail out after the first night and ended up going to a ballet in Denver on Saturday night. Bella and I battled out some storms with our friends and enjoyed one more night under the stars.
Thanks for reading, keep up the comments!
My sister-in-law Debbie took some pictures at the baby shower in Lawrence two weekends ago. Hopefully she doesn't mind that I post the link for them: http://www2.snapfish.com/
